Clonmore Through The Years
Project Aims

1.To Highlight how the Football Club/School/Church has shaped local identity and the lives of individual supporters, families and the wider community, that form its heart.
2.To collect memories from supporters, members in recorded, pictorial and written formats and make these available through a virtual presentation.
3.To create a teaching pack using the material collected to show that football can be used as a way of inspiring youth to learn about physical activity, team sports, local geography, history and citizenship.
4.To collect reminiscences of older people who attended Clintyclay PS in the 1900s and to provide an insight into the social, economic and religious changes that occurred during this time.
5.To pass on those stories to younger people attending the school at present, by involving them in the project and retrieval of information and to use project as a means of attracting new pupils from other ethnic origins and religions.
6.To encourage people to share their stories, encouraging discussion between teachers and pupils/committee members & Religious.
7.To recruit 10 volunteers who will research the History of Sacred Heart Church Clonmore.
8.To select 15-20 people to share their memories for compilation in a DVD and Booklet format.
9.To share the results of the project widely with other denominational Churches/Football Clubs & Schools/Community groups/Libraries etc in the area.
10. Evaluate the project.
