Clonmore Naomh Labhaoise commenced their 2010 games against Keady at U 16 grade and Tir Na nog at Minor level with mixed fortunes.
The U 16 s came up against a strong Keady outfit away and with missing a few regulars through injury and exams was beaten by 5 points. The Minor ladies made a winning start in their campaign with a hard earned win against Portadown at Robert Emmet Park. The game was nip and Tuck right up to 10 minutes from the end but with excellent goals coming from Siobhan Mackle and Nicola Mc Neice, the local ladies finished the game very strongly.
A big well done to those who excelled on the night and played through the pain barrier with special efforts being made by Shauna Fanthorpe,Siobhan Mackle,Rebecca Mc Geary, Lauren Dynes and Lauren Foy who was outstanding in goals. Next games will be announced by Text but training continues from u8 upwards on Mondays and Thursdays from 6.30-8pm.
The management of Naomh Labhaoise would like to thanks immensely all the girls for their efforts in selling tickets for the up coming fundraising draw taking place on 23rd May. A few have still to return their allocations and please do so. Clonmore Robert Emmets have to be congratulated for their efforts in the new development and all the girls are looking forward to the opening.
Clonmore Naomh labhaoise Minors will play Ballyhegan on opening day in Robert Emmet Park before Armagh Men Seniors V Galway. Times tbc.During Half time both teams will have an under 10 ladies game as well.
