Clonmore completed a historic league and championship double on Sunday when they travelled to Mullabrack and came away with both points.
Although the game was of a thoroughly one sided nature, Clonmore still needed to fulfil the fixture to claim the points which gave them the Division 4 title. Scores came in the form of goals from James Grimley, Raymond Convie, Paul Hamill and Brendan Donaghy points were scored by, Stephen Donaghy, James Grimley, Chris Convie, Raymond McBennett, Brendan Donaghy, Joe Prunty, Declan O’Neill, Paul McNamee and Ciaran Beagan.
Congratulations to the entire panel and manager on this latest achievement. Unfortunately there was no formal presentation of the league trophy which was disappointing but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm for celebration amongst the Clonmore players. It’s hoped to have the presentation in the very near future.
Fortunately its not the end of the season as Clonmore prepare to enter the Ulster Championship. The game with Donegal junior champions, Convoy, has been provisionally fixed for November 6th at Crossmaglen.
Tickets for the Clubs Annual dinner will soon be available. The date is set for November 25th in The Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown. Given the Clubs successes this year it’s anticipated there will be a big demand on the limited tickets so get your name on one as early as possible.
Sympathy is extended to the McCaul family on their recent bereavement.
