Clonmore's refixed match with Cross seconds was held on Tuesday the 8th. A minutes' silence was observed to mark the sudden passing of Anne Kerr, sister of referee Malachy and members John and James.

James Grimley was first to open the scoring with two points in as many minutes. Cross converted a free and both sides exchanged wides. Stephen Donaghy was notable in defense, with D McGeown, Gary Nugent and Raymond Convie at fullback also making their mark. Chris Convie, Ciaran Beagan, and Tony McGeown were combining well. James Fox and Brendan Donaghy in the middle of the park set up Jack Smith for a point. Brendan was blood substituted for a couple of minutes, meanwhile Grimley converted a free. More wides for both sides and a Cross point took the game into the second quarter. A Jack Smith ball across the goal was kept in by Raymond McBennett who pointed, followed by Grimley then Cross. Raymond Convie displayed some fine fielding in his new position. Lots of possession was made good with a fisted point from Brendan Donaghy. Cross ended the half with a point to leave it 7-5 for the Emmet's.

Clonmore's midfielders combined to win a free which Grimley put over, cross replied with the same score. Possession was turned over by both sides before Cross pushed through on goal, but Clonmore's defense did well to keep the score to a minor. Some poor kicking for Cross was replied to in style with Brendan and Stephen Donaghy putting Raymond McBennett in for a well taken goal. Tony McGeown set up Stephen for a point. More wides were exchanged before Cross found the net via the bottom of the crossbar, the keeper did well to get a hand to it. Chris Convie was doing well in defense and fielded a good ball, then winning a free to be converted by Brendan. Beano was denied by the post but Jack had a better return. Cross converted a free to begin the final quarter. A loose ball ended with a Cross goal. Brendan and James took three points at the other end in quick succession. Aidan Daly came in for Ruairí and Beano did well to get the ball to see Aidan unlucky to miss the sticks. With five minutes to go Brendan pointed a 45. Joe Prunty came in for Jack. Chris got a late point before the point of the game from Grimley on the wing.
