Clonmore Seniors played St Pauls at home on Sunday afternoon hoping to get two vital points and to move out of the relegation zone.

Missing a couple of players this was always going to be difficult. The first half was fairly even with Clonmore shading the exchanges but some sharp shooting by the St Paul’s corner forward left the scores even at the break. Clonmore dominated the early exchanges but some poor passing and terrible misses let St Paul’s off the hook. The amount of procession lost from frees must be an area for concern going into the championship. St Pauls scored a late goal to win by four points. This leaves Clonmore in dire straits with only a few games remaining.

Next match Championship against Belleek Sunday evening in Mullabrack.Underage blitz-

Saturday saw Clonmore host an underage blitz with 8 teams and four pitches in operation everything ran smoothly. The club would like to thank Naoimh Eoin for organising the event and all who helped especially Ailsa McGeown and Kathleen Quigley for providing the refreshments.

The development draw meetings continue on Monday nights at 9.15pm, it is important that all teams make their returns as the draw date is fast approaching.

Next Sunday’s All Ireland semi-final will be shown in the hall.
