Divine Intervention at
The Great Variety X Factor
Friday the 6th of November will see The Ryandale, Moy awash with local and not so local talent in the first heat of The Great Variety X Factor. Twelve acts will take to the stage to entertain the anticipated large crowds hoping to catch a glimpse of the crème de la crème of artists performing some of the music industry’s greatest hits.
The first heat will see a range of male, female and group singers covering a wide range of well known musical acts. One that many will have their eyes firmly on will be Armagh Diocese’s answer to “The Priests”. Well used to the pressure of public speaking to large crowds, these three priests – well known in the local area will hope to inspire and reach though song and secure a place in the Grand Final on November 27th. Can you identify the mystery singers?
Priest number 1: A past curate of Dungannon Parish – who has since moved to Cookstown, Magherafelt and is now Parish Priest in Drumalane, Middle Killeavy. An Oak Leaf county native, with a “simmering” future in song.
Priest number 2: A big fan of Errigal Ciaran (and the Red Hands of Tyrone), this member is currently ministering in the Parish of Dungannon. Named after the Rock on which the church was built, he has been known of late to be treading the boards but this will be a “strictly” vocal act. Priest number 3: An Armagh man at heart, raised in Milford he will be “Eamonn” to please the crowd with his harmonious tones. Having served many parishes including St. Patrick’s Dundalk, he is now back in the heart of the Orchard County in the parish of Loughgall.
Proceeds of the evening will go towards Clonmore Robert Emmets GFC development fund and it is hoped to be a fabulous nights entertainment.
