Clonmore GFC Launch Fundraising Prize Draw 29/01/2010

Local GAA club, Clonmore Robert Emmets, recently launched a fundraising draw with a prize fund of £10,000. Armagh County board Chairman, Paul Dougan, who was on hand to purchase the first £10 ticket, praised the efforts of the club for their work in the Clonmore area.
As Club Chairman, Dominic Molloy explained, the prize draw will be the finale of series of fundraising efforts. 'Last year we ran several events which focussed on giving people value for money entertainment which all proved hugely popular. We started with a play, then ran a mock wedding and before Christmas an X Factor style talent show which were all great craic to be involved in'. All the money raised went to forging ahead with work on the new building development by the club.
That development will see GAA President, Christy Cooney visit Clonmore to perform the official opening on May 23rd when the winning tickets shall be drawn. 'All the proceeds from the prize draw will ensure the building is completed, operational and most importantly of all – fully paid for.' ' Thats a magnificent achievement when you consider we recieved no grant aid for the work.' said Mr Molloy.
Tickets for the draw are £10 each with a host of cash prizes up for grabs and can be purchased from any Club member or by contacting www.clonmore.com
