Naomh Eoin Under 21’s defeated the fancied Shane O’Neills in the U21 final in a cold Athletic Grounds on Sunday. After a closely fought first half Naomh Eoin went in two up after Shan O’Neills had led by two. In the second half Naomh Eoin dominated exchanges however kicked 11 wides but managed to stretch their lead and ran out 11 points to Six winners. It was a proud moment for Clonmore player John Grimley to lift this trophy for Naomh Eoin. The other Clonmore players on the team were James, Daniel and Philip Mullan, and Cathal and Caolin Cunningham. Congratulations to the whole back room team who put a big effort into preparing this team.

The Club had a busy weekend off the field with a very successful fundraising quiz on Friday night. A lot of preparation went into this with loads of raffle prizes sponsored and the hall decorated. A good crowd turned out and a very enjoyable night was had.

On Saturday the schools Camogie final took place in Clonmore, and a special thanks to Rosin Donaghy and Marcella Molloy who provided much appreciated catering.

On Sunday a prematch breakfast took place again with all the contents sponsored. A big raffle also took place with some fabulous prizes again all sponsored. Special thanks for Team 4 who organized this week ends fundraisers and especially for two ladies who did lion share of the preparation, Margaret Conlon and Ailsa McGeown.

Irish Dancing Continues in the Clubrooms every Wed from 5.30pm.

Congratulations to Clonmore Choir who had a very successful Christmas Carol Service in Dungannon on Sunday evening. On the night they were accompanied by Malachi Cush and Karl McGuckin. The choir have a Christmas CD out which is now on sale with funds going towards the community building.

The Clubs AGM took place last Tuesday night and there are a number of officer changes with Hugh McAlinden the new vice chair and Fintan McAliskey the new secretary. The club would like to thank all outgoing officers for their work in the past year.
