For the second year in a row Clonmore have been represented on both minor and senior county teams in the Ulster championship.

This is a huge event for the club and in years to come it will be talked about hopefully in the context of continuing success for all concerned. It was not the result the minors wanted but on the day they were beaten fair and square, it is disappointing for all concerned after putting in all the effort which is required but hopefully some experience can be taken from the day. In the senior match a well rounded performance saw the team through to the next match. Brendan has made a good recovery from his injury and as a sign of how strong the panel are he wasn’t needed on the day, a great problem for the management to have.

On the home front Clonmore played Ballyhegan on Friday evening. The team are coping well with a few injuries and unavailable players with those on the pitch putting in extra effort. Unfortunately on this occasion there were no points to be had. We are in the lower half of the league table and all things considered we won’t have to worry about the top half for this year. That said the lads must continue to play hard for every match as there is still a lot to play for. Final score: Clonmore 0-10 Ballyhegan 1-12

The next stage of the development will be the cutting of the first sod which will be at 7.30pm on Friday 20th June. Followed by the start of the building work on the Saturday Hopefully we can all come together in the near future to celebrate the cutting of the ribbon to open the building, watch this space.

The next big event on the calendar is a night at the races on Saturday 28th June at 8.30pm.

North Armagh Gaelic week 21st – 28th June 08. An exciting and forward-thinking new concept is in the final stages of planning. A working group established by the North Armagh Board has initiated the inception of GAELIC WEEK.  The week commencing 21st June will give all clubs in North Armagh including Clonmore the opportunity to participate in a celebration of all things Gaelic, through various sporting and cultural events.
